When we’re (and by “we”, I mean “I”) looking for a cafe to stay at for a few hours just to work on a report or an article or join a virtual meeting, we normally go to big brands like Starbucks, Tim Hortons, or CBTL because ~aesthetic~. Like just last week, when needed to work at a coffee shop but it’s “planner season” so most of the famous cafes are already full. Thankfully I found Kaff Cafe to save me from being late for an online team meeting.
As you know, blogging is not my full time job. I am an auditor (and a single mom of one!) as well. I hate to say this, but to be honest, working from home is not easy especially for moms. When we’re at home, everyone expects us to be “at home” and do every chore and mom duties all day even when we’re working online. So from time to time, I’d wave a quick bye to my baby and her granny just to work at the office or somewhere else where I can actually focus on what I should complete for that day.
By the way, I already got my Starbucks planner already so I thought of having a crawl among different coffee shops in and near Manila. But let’s start with Kaff Cafe and Restaurant!
I was already in a hurry when we reached the cafe. Fifteen minutes away from the meeting felt like three minutes when prepping. Lol. But in quick glance, you’ll definitely notice the nice ambience and just the cutest spot for your next Instagram coffee post. <3 I loooove the texture of wood in photos and its color, too! Perfectly matched with greens and shades of reds, you’ll get the Christmasy-vibe but not too fancy it lets you feel a classic vintage style as well.

Kaff Cafe offers both international and local cuisines that I find really convenient for Pinoys who love coffee. Personally, I like having finger food and snacks while doing my thing and enjoying coffee, but we all know Pinoys loooove heavy meals so I think Kaff’s set of menu is just perfect for anyone who likes to enjoy a slow-paced, chill afternoon in a cafe.
That day, I tried their buffalo wings (a personal must-have whenever I see it on a menu) and J tried their lechon kawali (I had a few bites, as expected, btw haha). Their platter of Buffalo Wings is served with either rice or fries, your choice, and a mayo dip perfect for the fries. I like mayo with wings as well but this one just didn’t match perfectly for my taste and I preferred more the wings on its own – and it’s, in fair, yummy! I didn’t finish my meal though because #WorkingRemotely and I had few bites of the rice meal as well. Lol.
The Lechon Kawali is just perfect, I almost ordered another plate. It’s is good you’ll feel the serving is too little. I actually didn’t expect too much from it before just because I don’t think rice meals in a cafe is just not a specialty but this one’s goooood.
Their food is good enough to make me more interested in trying out more. I revisited their menu and already have a list of what to try next! What I loooove more about Kaff Cafe is that their pricing is waaay more affordable than most of the cafes I’ve visited. And they’re giving you quality food!
Have you tried Kaff Cafe yet? I'm trying more of their food items, what would you like to try with me? Or do you have other cafes in mind? Let me know your thoughts and leave a comment below!
