One-night Stay at Hotel Snow in Angeles City, Pampanga

So this is a promise to myself – taking a time off to keep me sane. So at least once a month for the whole 2020, I am having a quick (and some long) trips to somewhere I’ve never been to before. (Also sooooo excited for Mnemo to join me in my traveeeellls!!! – okay, chill, May.

So for January 2020, I chose and went to Tarlac for the first time. To be honest, I had a very long list of spots to visit in my itinerary, but well, some things are not meant to happen the way you planned it. When I travel to unfamiliar places, my go-to hotels would be those that are already well-known and well-reviewed. This time, I tried booking through Airbnb (which is also my go-to app when finding a room to stay in except I used to book directly to private websites).

ABOUT HOTEL SNOW
━━━━━━

Hotel Snow made the whole hotel out of shipping containers. It’s not the first container hotel I’ve seen (saw one in Japan, lol) but they claim to be the first container hotel in Pampanga, Philippines.

Upon arrival to the hotel, you can actually notice how cute the building is – it’s super IG-worthy! From the main entrance to the inside pool, you won’t believe the hotel was made out of containers. (Or was it just me? Because container trucks are scarryyyy??)

Accommodation

I booked a Studio A for a night and it actually was way better than I expected. I felt super comfy, I didn’t wanna go out to go food tripping. (Which you guys should do, I heard the Walking Street was fun and full of streetfood stalls during the night.)

My favorite thing about my room (except from the comfy bed and the bidet, HAHA) is the internet connection was fast enough. I downloaded one season of flix on Netflix for less than an hour. Hotel Snow boasts how laptop-friendly their hotel is, and I can vouch for that (well, as of January 2020, sure).

I got myself a copy of their booklet from their lobby and just to share short descriptions of the available rooms and amenities, here goes:

Studio A

A perfect room for one or a couple which maximizes the efficiency of the space to enhance customer convenience. In each room, there is a mini refrigerator, split-type air conditioner, cable TV, and secure card key system. They also has their private bathrooms complete with bidet, and water heater.

Studio B

Provides larger space than Studio A rooms. In each room, there is a mini refrigerator, split-type air conditioner, cable TV, and secure card key system. They also has their private bathrooms complete with bidet, and water heater.

Family Room

The family room is good for 2 to 4 guests. It has small kitchen, dining table, balcony, and two full-double size beds. There also is a separate living room enough for your group to hangout in.

Penthouse

A nice room to make you feel special. Overlooking to a nice view of Clark airport and Mt. Arayat. A room has 900L refrigerator, long couch, 40sqm balcony, 2 kitchens, 50-inch Smart TV. Maximum of 8 guests can stay in 4 bedrooms, each having its own bathroom.

Facilities

You can enjoy delicious drinks and coffee at the cafe on the first floor, the jazz bar on the second floor can rid of the pain of a tiring trip with sweet jazz music and a glass of wine. In the banquet hall on the third floor, you can hold a small and medium-sized event linked to the penthouse. Customized catering is also available.
