Luxury Experience at Richmonde Hotel Iloilo

DCIM102MEDIA Processed with VSCO with p5 preset

What are the most important things you usually look for in a hotel for the best staycation you are always planning? Mine’s simple – just a comfortable bed and a sweet platter of whatever it is for breakfast. It’s also nice when I’m staying alone and people around are just so warm. All that and more here in Richmonde Hotel Iloilo.

Usually whenever I travel to a province or go for a long vacay from place to place, I don’t book fancy hotel rooms at all. Instead of spending too much for a comforter and air-conditioned bedroom, I’d prefer to stay the night in a simple yet affordable room in an inn.

Hey there! My name’s May and you can view more about me here.  I travel a lot for both work and leisure. Thanks to being an auditor and a content creator and, of course, to my love for travel, I barely feel I’m actually at work when traveling. And if  I’m actually off work, I usually am with friends or family, discovering places and trying out new food. I’m juggling three jobs – the two mentioned + being a single mom. You think it’s easy? Of course not! But what glues me together is my passion and love for these three. More about my story here.

I love sharing what I know and how I do things, so if you haven’t read these yet, visit the following pages to view:

Amenities and Facilities

Outdoor Swimming Pool with Pool Deck (7/F). My most favorite part of RHI. I definitely enjoyed the view of the city at the deck especially at night, plus the bar was always there to fill in my tummy!
 Fitness Center (7/F).
The fitness center, thankfully, is open for 24 hours daily. And they have personal fitness trainer you can request if ever you need one. Plus, and this is very important, they have their own shower rooms so you don’t need to go back to your rooms to clean up after a play-hard workout.

Dining

Okay, let’s be honest. The pools isn’t my most favorite part. DINING IS! This actually gave the most of the flavour of my Richmonde Hotel stay. It’s like the price of a hotel stay is not worth it if the food isn’t that great. But since, I admit, this was a partnership, I didn’t expect great food at all.

Well my breakfast, firstly, proved me Richmone food is not just great but also heaven on Earth. I am not exaggerating, but food is really, really great it satisfied me for like the whole week.

I had my first meal at the Granary (read more about the place here), but there much more than a buffet breakfast at Richmonde Hotel Iloilo.

Biz Bar

BizBar is an entertainment lounge where you can enjoy your food and great sounds as you chill with fine drinks and good friends. I also had my dinner here on my second night at Iloilo – sisig and rice while people around me are wnjoying their snacks and drinks. Lol. Located at the upper ground floor, Bizbar can accommodate up to 40 pax from 4pm to 12mn on Tuesdays to Sundays.

What to eat
◘◘ Cheese platter with varieties of cheese such as edam, blue cheese, cheddar, and cream cheese, served with bread sticks, cucumber, carrot parsley dips ranch , dried mango, prunes nuts. A fine platter perfect for wine night.
◘◘ Grilled pork mixed seafood and chicken, served with dips and flavours such as garbanzos, olive oil and tomato, tahini sauce, sesame seed, peanut butter, oil lemon and salt, garlic paste tomb (arabic) and garlic oil egg white, babaganush eggplant salad, pita bread (in house dauces/dios).
◘◘ Beef salpicao

Zabana Bar

As mentioned (repeatedly, lol), I super loved the pool area, and of course, the convenience of having a bar beside it. You can order drinks of your likes and snacks if you’re hungry. Located at a deck at 7th floor, the Zabana Bar can accommodate 45 people from 6am to 9pm daily.

What to eat and drink
◘◘ Kaakit-akit – white rum with fresh lime juice, sweetened by sugar syrup, flavoured with soda and cucumber.
◘◘ Mabuhay – Zabana 8 (a special Zabana mix) with fresh lime juice, mango syrup, chamomile tea, and mint leaves.
◘◘ Triple decker – clubhouse sandwich served with yummy potato wedges.
◘◘ Tex Mex Nachos

The Granary

The Granary offers not just great food, but luxurious ambiance for everyone to enjoy their food. The Granary can accommodate 70 pax for breakfast buffet withing 6am to 10am on weekdays and until 11am on weekends. And for dinner buffet, they are open at 6pm to 10pm. Wrap-up

What I really loved during our stay here was that I felt like hotel people really cared about us, not because we’re there to do business, but simply because we were their guests. I really hope all hotels do the same care that spreads positive vibes. 🙂
