Spoiler alert: Netflix overload

I know. I hate myself, too, for spending my time on Netflix instead of focusing on my job assignments or even my blogs or my journals. On the side note, I’m glad I’m making the most of my 400+php subscription. And excuse my little way of escaping the reality of #adulting. And of course, I still have time for my child because I am a Wonder Mom.

By the way, I’m writing because I want to share my recent Netflix and chill movies and series. If you’re reading this, it means I’ve already deleted my Netflix app. It’s still paid, though. But aside from taking pictures of my baby and cry about how hard being a mom is, I really need to focus on my job for the coming months.

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before

I think their story is cliché but they’re undeniably cute.

Aside from being one of the most popular film today, TATBOLB (that’s long and funny, tbh) made it to the trending list first as a book. I am a fan of deeper concepts (or I’ve never read it though I included it in my TBR. Simply because I thought it’s just a teenage movie and a just a waste of time.

I think their story is a bit cliché – “let’s pretend we’re together and let’s fall in love so we could end our story real cute”. I mean, we’ve seen other movies and read other books like this before. Even Pinoy films like that Gangster thingy by Kathniel. I didn’t say both films or films like these are not good, they’re good, but let’s admit it’s already an old story.

Which still works because…well, it just works.

P.S. Is there a real-life Peter Kavinsky? Ha. Ha. Ha.

Brooklyn Nine-nine

The newest series I’m binge-watching because people said it’s good and funny. I have to agree it is a good funny series, but I don’t really get a lot of sense from it. I expected more of like Suits or Criminal Minds or Breaking Bad. But really, Peralta’s character is indeed funny, but his character is not making sense anymore and even more irritating than lovable, idk.

Peralta, Boyle, and Diaz. Hm.

I don’t know why am I still watching this, all characters are not so interesting. Well, for me. Except for Captain Holt which is way more funnier than Peralta. Also, Santiago is pretty, but I hate her character as well. Hay, sayang.

How It Ends

I can’t remember where e was going here but this is the nicest photo I found on Google.

This one’s interesting. We had a bet on “how it really ends” – my sister thought it’s the scary natural disaster that kills us all, my brother said it’s some kind of alien invasion, and I think it’s similar to uhmm…Hunger Games or The Maze Runner that these people are isolated from a different world and they’re a part of experimentation. But nah ah.

Apparently, these movie makes knew how to catch people’s curiosity and interest and attention. Because spoiler alert: it never ended. Like “bahala na kayo magisip kung paano sya nag-end.”

You Get Me

I and my friends were looking for a horror movie when we found You Get Me. The trailer and even the Netflix preview image was as catchy as some of the scary movies about the internet or  devices of texts.

I wanted a Polaroid since like highschool.

I loved Bella Thorne here. I just appreciated her face, her body, and how good she is as an actress. Well, it’s not as great as you are probably imagining, but wala lang, naappreciate ko sya dito.

The movie is good, though. They depicted how jerk a can be. And how “marupok” a girl can be. not to mention how obsessed people can be. Haha. I guess I’m almost there but haha.

#RealityHigh

One of the movies I thought is not really interesting like “ano ba yan, sana iba naman”. But it was actually surprisingly good.

Hehe. Sorry, Dani.

This movie shows how cool online superstars are, and how stressful it is to just get in the world of fame.

About Dani, I hated her for thinking of saying yes for a date with Cameron when she knows he already has a girlfriend. I mean, his gf may be rude or bitchy or mean, but still, don’t be such a wrecker. I just hate people who think doing these kind of stuff is cool or okay or fine as long as it benefits their “self-care”. Pfft.

About Alexa, I feel sorry for her attitude. Reality check: this is what happens when you can’t control what controls you. I feel sorry for her when her mom dictates what she should do, I feel sorry for her when her followers sent her mean messages, I feel sorry for her when she needs to stay pretty just so she won’t lose her fans. I mean, I don’t think she still have a life. She’s like a robot programs to perfection and she can’t do something about it because she’s already drowned by it. Poor girl.

Anyway, have you seen any of the films I mentioned above? What’s your take? What do you think about their story line, their characters? Do you have a better movie or TV series in mind?
