Unleash your inner “camper” at CAMP Curry at Ayala Triangle, Makati

I am a traveler myself and I looove camping. At our age, you gotta make the most out of life, try being adventurous, and experience new things before you run out of time. It’s been actually more than a year since I last escaped the city life and hiked and camped. So the news that we were going to experience “camping” in the city made me really excited.

If I’m not mistaken, this is the first and only campsite-themed restaurant in Makati, specifically within CBD (Central Business District). Located in Ayala Triangle Gardens, CAMP Curry is perfect for travelers like me (and for non-travelers as well) to experience the camping vibes in one of the busiest cities in the Metro.

CAMP Curry originated from Tokyo, conceptualizing in the travel and adventure life. Established by an adventurous man, Takashi Sato, I can say CAMP is very much successful in bring out the outdoor ambience in his place. The traveler in me was jumping when I saw their interiors that honestly made me miss the adventure of hiking and camping. The wonderful colors of hiking bags hanging on the walls, camping lanterns, travel posters and photos, camping equipment, and their cute sets of spoon and for (literally small shovel and garden fork!) really made my heart so happy!

Our dining, or camping rather, experience at CAMP started with their Spicy Nachos (Php250*) crisp nacho chips layered with melted cheddar cheese and lean ground beef, topped with cherry tomatoes, cilantro, and a Cajun spice mix. A perfect start-up to fuel your craving! Surely will make it to your top favorite nachos in the city!

We also had the Camp Salad (Php220*) an assortment of crisp greens and vegetables paired with avocado and cucumber. Topped with special homemade tomato aurora curry dressing.

For the main course, we had their BBQ Pork Belly (Php330*) served with brown keema curry and rice. It’s a full plate of flame-grilled meaty pork belly basted in special BBQ sauce paired with fully-loaded vegetable chunks.

BBQ Chicken (Php290*) and chunky vegetables (also served with rice) with green vengeful curry. A smoked chicken thigh finished on the grill, also basted in their signature BBQ sauce.

Their BBQ Sausage is also good which is perfect for brunch. And for the seafood lovers, they have BBQ Shrimp.

CAMP boasts their Japanese curry, and they have almost everything for everyone’s taste. Have a foodie adventure and try out different curry flavors partnered with your chosen dish. You can choose from Brown Keema Curry, which is CAMP original (my personal favorite), or Red Bisque Curry which is made from tomatoes and fresh shrimps. Even vegans have a choice of  Green Vengeful Curry which has a twist of Thai curry and a hint of wasabi. I have a high tolerance for spicy foods, but you can choose and request the spice levels – play it safe or take the risk!

Every dish is cooked upon order which guarantees it’s freshness and flavorful taste. You can even enjoy watching them as they cook your order at their open kitchen.

Camp Curry is located at the Ayala Triangle Gardens, Salcedo Village, Makati City; open for dining customers between 10am – 10pm. View their full menu on Zomato (Camp Curry), and follow them on IG (@campcurryph) and Facebook (Camp Curry Philippines) for more details and updates!
