Paperang update + journaling tips + journal flip-through
Hello, guys! I am posting this update as a “thank you” for the continued support and viewing of my previous review about the Paperang printer. Many were asking “are the printed pictures still okay?”, “aren’t they fading?”, etc etc. Well so far, I have no issues about the cutest printer. In fact, I am using it more often now.
Frequently asked questions
Do your prints fade easily? Good thing I am using a good-quality thermal paper I bought along with the printer. It is thicker than the ordinary one (free roll), it is glossy-type, and sticker-type, best for journaling. It’s more expensive, though, but worth it especially if you are looking for thermal papers which doesn’t fade easily.
Does the printer work with other editing and printing apps? It doesn’t work with other apps because you need to connect your phone directly with the Paperang device. But you can always edit your pictures on outside app before printing them through the Paperang app.
Mine sometimes doesn’t connect with my iPhone device. Is this a common problem? I think so. I use Apple device as well and I encounter the same issue, too. What I do is reboot the printer and restart the app. It works.
Journaling tips
Using a lack and white printer is kind of boring. I mean we’re trying to do some art here, so we expect more colors, right? Well art isn’t just about colors, but your creativity to make it more appealing.
- I like minimal aesthetics, and I love black and whites. So sometimes, I let some spread just be b&w. I don’t add colors, just designs and doodles and quotes. Play with your black marker or black pen, and maybe add some black and white stickers and washi tapes.
- Or you can add colors by sticking black and white stickers to colored washis or patterned paper.
- You don’t have to buy expensive sheets of patterned wrap papers. You can just grab some cute designs on Pinterest and print them all away.
- Add some doodles. Since I just got back my creative hands (from swelling bec of pregnancy), I just got back, too, on doodling. Doodle some manly or girly icons around your spread and just let your inner creative do the job.
- Do not stress over blank pages. Sometimes, I skip pages planning to fill them in some other time. But I used to forget things easily back when I was pregnant. Blank pages are okay. You can always get back to them some other time.
Journal flip-through
I’m not finished yet with my current notebook, but here’s an update on what’s inside of it. Enjoy artsy-ing!
