cafe hopping: 6 cafes within metro manila for when you need to work remotely
This has been one of the many projects I really wanted to start before the pandemic, but unfortunately, cafe hopping doesn’t really make sense when you’re all in a lockdown so… The community quarantine has been a big challenge to businesses and most of them permanently closed eventually because profit went down and they couldn’t support the business anymore. While some took the risk on going straight online, content creators grew their business on the other hand, and thankfully most online businesses grew as well. Except me, of course. I can give more reasons why I went MIA, but I had a nice time reflecting and I learned there’s just…

%Arabica, McKinley
The day before our visit was super rainy so I was expecting at least a little rain that day but… Hello, Mr. Sun. I was looking forward to a cup of hot coffee so I suggested the very good Arabica coffee for my and J’s morning date (lol we were just doing some docs). He got his usual hot coffee, but I was suddenly not in the mood to I got myself an iced mocha. Iced mocha??? Wth, watyu doin’, May??? I’ve had the Arabica coffee before, in a bottle and to-go cups. El Jardin de Manila, BGC
It was a rainy afternoon and J and I wanted some place to work on some important documents so I said “as labas tayo so we can focus” and where else would you go if you are to work on your laptop, need good coffee, and maybe food? We were walking along Bonifacio Global City in Taguig (I honestly wanted to try and hang out on the park somewhere there but it was raining, smh) and we passed through this cute, not crowded, “Instagrammable”, interesting cafe that I never have tried yet. And yes, they have wifi. This brach has permanently closed as of 2022. New here? Read this! Hey there!…

Yep, adulting happens. Fortunately, we can always end the day with “P.S. I love you, XOXO!”
Rolled ice cream, has been part of the news already for like five, six years now. And honestly, we still love them. If I remember it right, we called it “fried” ice cream in the first few months when it was first introduced to the market. Simply because of how it was made: pouring liquid ice cream base on a flat freezer plate then mix it up with flavors and whatnot. Flat it down to a thin layer, then scrape it up into small (or big, whatever you like!) rolls then serve it in a cute, fancy cup. Well, XOXO is not your ordinary rolled ice cream parlor. Strategically located…

Menya Kokoro: your soup-less ramen is now in the PH!
Was it just me or we just had the longest summer so far in Pinas? I know I heard it somewhere, but anyways… rain’s finally here! And because we are natural foodies, we are always ‘game’ to try out something new to indulge during the rainy season. Of course, there’s always the best goto, lugaw, arrozcaldo, and other Pinoy food perfect for the “Netflix and chill” weather. Well aside from those yummies, we also love ramens which are almost everywhere. You know what’s new? MAZESOBA! Mazesoba is literally translated as mixed noodle – soupless ramen (or dry ramen) made with soba or Japanese noodles. The soba is thicker than your…
