A week ago, at exactly 12:40 in the afternoon, I gave birth to Mneme. It was, by far, the happiest day of my life.

Imagine giving life to another human, all your selfishness will fade. Iisipin mo nalang lagi sya, anong gusto nya, anong maganda para sakanya, anong ikakabuti nya, and all. Having a child changed my way of seeing things and prioritizing them.

Sobrang saya nung araw na yon. Well, aside from being nervous about how the doctor would cut through me (lol) and, of course, the worries for Mneme as she accepts the challenge of life. Especially when I heard her first cry, I literally felt my heart jump. Plus seeing the man I love, excited to reach for his child. Ano pa bang hihilingin ko, diba?

Cheers for the first week!

The struggle is real (real na real, real na real~)But the few hours of rest each day is all worth it.

I had a dream the other night, that I lost Toyo. She was missing for days already and I was worried she’s not getting any milk to drink. Until one day I remembered she’s in a paper bag (yeah, weird. Maybe because I’ve been looking for that same paper bag in real life, lol) And when I finally found her, she was already years older and a looooot fatter.

Time flies so fast, but having a child makes every parent realize time doesn’t just fly. It sometimes walks, runs, leaps, jumps, and it’s even faster than you thought it was.

Happy first week, Mnemosyne Rae. Let this post, should you have the chance to read it in the future (along with many other letters I wrote for you), be one of the reminders how strong you are and how loved you are.
