Coffee and chill at Cafe Roma in Goshen Resort, Tarlac
Before the ECQ, we traveled all the way to Tarlac for a weekend just to get some fresh air and take a short break from the city noise. We roamed around Tarlac, enjoyed this super romantic Cafe Roma in Goshen Resort, and stayed in a very nice hotel in Angeles before going back home the next day.
Tarlac was not really one of the most-listed go-to places for Pinoy travel enthusiasts. Until people saw these beautiful flower farm and Rome pictures on Facebook and Instagram, they started to notice how wonderful this province truly is.
The view from the cafe indeed made us feel like we’re outside the Philippines!
We went there without any finalized itinerary which is not really “me” because one of my pet peeves is figuring out where to go next and how to get there fast JUST RIGHT THEN AND THERE. I want a trip planned or at least we have a tiny bit of idea what to do when we get there. But well, change happens, and we didn’t really had enough time to plan, so whatevs.
I discovered Goshen Resort in Google Map’s suggested spots, instead from people’s posts on social media. From Geron, we traveled back to Bamban for more than an hour to witness this paradise in person.
In case you missed, here's a separate story about our experience at Goshen Resort and Hotel. You can also view more photos in one of my journals in VSCO.
I just checked their update on FB, and learned they are open for delivery within the areas of Bamban, Capas, Mabalacat, Dau, Balibago, and Angeles. Delivery days are every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday between 1pm to 4pm.
We had some afternoon bites at Cafe Roma before heading to the hotel we booked for the night. My recommendation? A nice slice of red velvet cake plus macadamia frappe is 100% perf! They also recommend this cheese burger that is just right for the price.

Oh, excellent! We wanted to visit Cafe Roma after seeing it on social media, too. But you are luckier because you made it before ECQ. We have yet to visit and your post inspired us to keep this place on top of mind once we can travel again. Thank you for the inspiration!

Worth the wait! 💯

It seems like so. Our tiny house is not far from Tarlac and it will be an easy drive. Now we only need the pandemic to be over. If only!

Ang gaganda ng pics! ❤ My father is from Tarlac, every year kami nagpupunta, pero di pa rin ako nakakarating sa Goshen 💔 You may also check out Monasterio de Tarlac in San Jose, that’s another hidden gem from the province. 😊
