Weekend vacay at Casa Zenaida, Lian, Batangas
Spending a weekend away from the city was my favorite way to unwind especially after weeks or months of tireless grind at work. Luckily, I have a big circle of good and fun friends that also love going for a short vacay. We love Airbnb and good thing we found one beautiful spot near Manila – the beautiful Casa Zenaida.
Hey there! My name’s May and you can view more about me here. I travel a lot for both work and leisure. Thanks to being an auditor and a content creator and, of course, to my love for travel, I barely feel I’m actually at work when traveling. And if I’m actually off work, I usually am with friends or family, discovering places and trying out new food. I’m juggling three jobs – the two mentioned + being a single mom. You think it’s easy? Of course not! But what glues me together is my passion and love for these three. More about my story here.
I love sharing what I know and how I do things, so if you haven’t read these yet, visit the following pages to view:
Casa Zenaida is located in Lian, Batangas. Batangas is more known as one of the best diving spots in the Philippines, and nearest from the city of Manila, but who knew there’s a hidden gem like Casa Zenaida for those who are looking for less adventure, more chill quick vacay with loved ones?
Just along a road in Lian, is this residential house turned-private resort where you can stay the weekend or even longer! I celebrated Christmas here with my friends once and it was super comfy and fun. They have three rooms free for you to use and can accommodate 20-25 persons per booking. All rooms are big enough for a small group, two of which can give a cozy feels for 5 persons (two double bed and one single mattress), and one room on the first floor have 6 bunk beds.
They have play sets and karaoke to get you occupied, but we preferred to spend more time playing a super nice card game, Werewolf! You each will get a character from the deck, and the group will discuss and guess who the Werewolf is. Kinda card version of the new game we call “Among Us” only, more fun because you’re defending yourselves face to face. I hate being the Werewolf though, I’m super bad at lying. Lol.
Just outside the main house there is a nice pool we love hanging out by, to enjoy some grilled meat, cold beer, and the company of true friends! Since we are not always together to talk about anything, catching up with each other really feels good.
Casa Zenaida also has its own mini chapel where you can spend alone, quiet time to reflect. Just through their beautiful garden (that I am soooo jealous of!) is a small home of goodness and calm.
November 2020 update: Casa Zenaida can't be found yet in Airbnb probably due to the pandemic and ECQ-GCQ guidelines, but you can always check the app when they're all ready. No Airbnb account yet? Sign up here and get ₱2,500 off your home booking and ₱600 off an experience! >> SIGN UP
I’m sure they’re opening this wonderland again soon, so sign up to Airbnb to catch the soonest possible booking date! It’s a bit pricey, but the facilities, the view, the security is all worth it!
