I finally got my first ~free~ Google online course certification! (+study tips and free digital planner template!)
Most of my idle time during community quarantine was dedicated to online learning. Thanks to the company I work with, I have access to wonderful and very helpful online learning websites and get certifications without out-of-pocket spends. And just recently, while scrolling through Pinterest looking for inspos on what to blog (because girl, it’s super hard to keep your travel blog breathing amidst the pandemic) then I saw this Tiktok pin sharing a link to an online training platform where you can get Google certifications (and actually flex them on your resume) for free! I’ve been blogging for years now and I still feel like I haven’t took advantage and…

#ProjectTutongSaRomblon: fun and awareness at Looc Fish Sanctuary, Tablas (Day 3 of 3)
Marine sanctuaries are indeed interesting. As I started to become an “island girl” (oh, missing the mountains already! Praying to gain back my strength, stamina, courage and whatever I need to go back hiking!), I learned (and learning) a lot about marine life. One favorite are coral reefs. I understand how hard it is to maintain these kinds of rehabs and sanctuaries, but I guess the government or private owners should stop their operations first if they see challenges in their facilities already. I mean, what is a million profits if that can provide only a couple of years of food for the family because the marine life you were…

Share-A-Bear this Christmas and make someone a #HappyKid
Christmas is fast approaching, and one thing everyone’s soooo excited about is our culture of gift giving (yeah I’m excited about the many foods we all are preparing for, but let’s stick first to gift giving, shall we?) Hmmkay, just to remind, gift yourselves a gift, too! 2018 was a tough year, so maybe give yourself some time off and relax. Anyway, speaking of gift giving, before I gave birth to Mnemosyne, I pledged myself to share my blessings to other people. When I got pregnant I realized I’ve been blessed more than what I needed. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not Richie Rich who can always have anything he…

Be someone’s miracle today!
I see a lot of people who really want to be part of something bigger – extending what you have to other people who are in need. But it’s just too difficult especially we have our own challenges as well financially, emotionally, physically, etc. It’s always one of my dreams to donate or volunteer or maybe someday build, organize, lead, and inspire my own group. It all started because of my love for travel, that I was able to help as a volunteer. We collect cash donations and in kind, re-pack them, and deliver them to the people who need them more. My first mission was way back in college when…

How much does “environmentalism” cost?
I am trying hard to switch my way to “environment-friendly” stuff such as bringing my own eco bags when shopping, using metal straws, selling/donating plastics, using reusable cups etc. It honestly didn’t occur to me that “environmentalism” is kind of “exclusive” until I read a post shared on Facebook from Twitter. I would disagree, too, but there is the obvious point. If you search the net or ask around how much a “re-usable” stuff is, they would cost way too much than just paying for a sachet or plastic version of anything. There’s no denying that. Now, I’m in this argument with myself about is environmentalism only for the rich? What…
