#LockdownDiaries: On being productive while staying at home
Hey, guys! How’s it going? If you’re reading this article hours or days after I posted it, then I guess you’re one of the lucky guys who are privileged to stay at home and just, you know, wait for this virus to fade. Thank you, COVID-19 fighters and frontliners for being brave and saving us all! One of our little ways to help is staying at home, follow the quarantine guidelines, and try not to add to your long lines of patients because we all want is to stop this pandemic. Contribute more than you criticize. – Brene Brown Tweet While we are aware there are people in need that…

Unwritten rules when visiting museums and exhibits
As you know, I try to travel and go out of town as much as possible. I started discovering places unfamiliar to myself since my parents allowed me to go out with friends – I think I was already in college. Lol I can’t even remember where was my first out of town trip with friends. My only regret is I didn’t take so much time to explore stuff beyond those beautiful landscapes – people, culture, and arts. Ever since I was a child, I am already a lover of all kinds of art. I don’t know why I didn’t think of looking further and learning more about art while…

2019: Learning to be happy
I have a fair share of Facebook ‘memories’ that bring back feelings – yep, it’s not just you that makes the hugot! Last year’s “year in-review” appeared in my ‘memories’ page last week (because I love viewing it, tbh) which prompted me to re-read my 2018 wrap-up article on the blog. And to be honest, didn’t just “bring back all the memories” (and feelings) but it also inspired me to do it again and look back at my past year to reflect on everything that happened in my very boring yet interesting life. Okay, I broke a promise of giving gifts to people around me for Christmas mainly because I…

Sofitel’s Sunset Bar + our first birthday duo
In the past year, since I hosted our own baby shower, I busied myself planning for Mnemo’s first birthday party. I researched about how to handle kids during a party, what food and drinks should I order, what is the best venue to do what activities, and looked for ideas on cute but useful give away for the kids. I even had a private Pinterest board on that! Mnemo’s birthday is on April and was during the holy week this year. It is also a day before the patron festival in our province, so I guess we will mostly be celebrating her birthday in Bicol for the coming years. Last…

How I take care of my sun-burnt skin
Contents last updated on June 2020. HAPPY END-OF-SUMMER! Yeah, I’m kidding. Is it just me who thinks there was just a whole year of summer in Manila? I am aware of all the floods and hurricanes and even hail storm from around the country, but Manila, really? Guess we have to take a pause and think of one little way to at least lessen the “heat”, and how to treat our sunburns, huh? Going out for a summer trip is one thing. Taking care of your sun-burnt skin is another. These days, I don’t really care that much about how I look. I don’t focus on getting back to the fairness…
