Cravings satisfied! Thanks to Pares Point The Original!
I know it’s too risky to go and eat out, but we have these errands we need to run and good food is still everywhere, so yeah. One thing to put in mind though is to practice all the safety protocols with or without anyone looking at you or even with or without these safety measures put in place where you’re headed specially those that we already expect to be a little more “crowded” than the other restaurants in the city. Like Pares Point in Makati.
Pares Point The Original is basically a joint where you can have probably one of the best pares in Manila. Unlike other diners, Pares Point is like a leveled up carinderia and almost-there restaurant. Because of it’s obvious success, I think they already can nail a good or classy resto place, but since their target customers are the masses and those that have quick and super big cravings for pares, I think they got just the perfect spot and vibes to up the spirits of their clients.
It’s an open area, housing enough number of tables and seats. They don’t have these plastic barrier on the tables, but they have “X” spots indicating you cannot sit there. In a table, max number of customers is two. Orders are also taken at the counter and served to your table once ready.
I don’t have pictures of it, but at the side of the place there have pots of beautiful plants that made the vibe even more comfy. See, I loooove plants, and I am one of those who got affected by the #plantdemic during the community quarantine.
We got the best seller Special Beef Pares. It’s goood and super perfect with their fried, garlic rice. I’m surprised though that the meat is actually too little (well, for me) or maybe it’s just me comparing this bowl to Pares Retiro. This is just my second brand of pares so I’m sorry for comparing! All together, this bowl is sulit, you’ll need an extra bowl of rice. My tummy was happy and imagine how I look like in a cropped top.
We also ordered Soup No. 5 Mix Pares, which I liked better mostly because it has a lot more meat in it (though laman-loob), but it made the soup even more tasty and I guess it’s also good to partner with coffe. I don’t know, I’m that weird.
We also got a super gooooooood bone marrow to wrap-up our early dinner. It may look spicy in my photo below, but it’s actually not. It’s perfect as pulutan as they claim, and just as perfect for a casual papak. If I didn’t have my braces this bone will get the love it deserves. Lol.
We had these just the day before going back to work and I felt like after and even during what we are going through – managing the challenges we’re facing as individuals and as a country – we still deserve to treat ourselves sometimes and be inspired to get up again and move along. Thanks to the brains and hands who are doing their best to offer us a quick glimpse of heaven during these trying times. Salute
By the way, stay safe, guys. I know these are not-so-healthy dishes, so control yourselves! And oh, yes, keep safe and wear your masks!
