Good food and good memories at Cafe Janealo, Intramuros
In 2018, we discovered this cafe just beside the Manila Cathedral. We got together there with my family and closest friends to celebrate over lunch Mnemo’s baptism. It’s called Cafe Janealo. And I visited there twice more after the baptism lunch, but since the pandemic lockdown, I think it’s just now that we got to eat there again. We planned to have a picnic in Fort Santiago, but the rain came killing the joy. So we hopped restos instead. A little bit. We had our coffee at Papa Kape inside the Fort Santiago, and for dinner, we checked out the new Cafe Janealo which felt nostalgic lol kala mo katagal…

Coffee and chill at Papa Kape, Fort Santiago, Manila
The City of Manila is one of our go-to places and if my family and I feel like picnic-ing, we go to the famous Intramuros. It was a very sunny day in Pasay and we thought let’s go have a picnic and enjoy the sunny/windy feels in Manila. Twelve kilometers after, the rain came and we never had the chance to sit on the grass and enjoy a cup of coffee or whatever. Good thing is, as we walked along Fort Santiago we saw this new coffee shop which apparently just opened first quarter of this year. The ground was still wet, but at least we found a home at…

5 dishes to try at Mitsuyado Ramen Shokudo
Going out for a dinner with friends is never boring. But is it just us, having to talk about a barkada outing over a meal? While strolling through Japan Town in Glorietta, Makati, we stumbled upon an unfamiliar ramen restaurant and we all knew we gotta try it. While we plan for a relaxed itinerary for a summer getaway, here are the dishes that made us even more excited to go out and explore more cuisines. Mitsuyado Ramen is a Japanese restaurant located in Makati, Philippines that specializes in serving delicious bowls of ramen and other Japanese dishes. The restaurant has a cozy, nice, and inviting atmosphere, with traditional Japanese…

Snack Attack: Cassalu
Remember the Cassalu Coffee & Kitchen? They have an express stall, in case you missed. We wanted to try their famous cheesecakes and coffee but we opted for some lunch meals because we were soooo tired from window shopping. Lol. We often do our groceries in Makati and Glorietta’s Food Choices (foodcourt) is one of our go-tos when we feel hungry. We actually plan to try all stalls as they have newly revamped the area pre-pandemic. I got a Beef and Kimchi Rice, and it was served with egg and red iced tea. Perf for tipid meals as we need to tighten our pockets these days. Hehe. It’s a safe choice,…

El Jardin de Manila, BGC
It was a rainy afternoon and J and I wanted some place to work on some important documents so I said “as labas tayo so we can focus” and where else would you go if you are to work on your laptop, need good coffee, and maybe food? We were walking along Bonifacio Global City in Taguig (I honestly wanted to try and hang out on the park somewhere there but it was raining, smh) and we passed through this cute, not crowded, “Instagrammable”, interesting cafe that I never have tried yet. And yes, they have wifi. This brach has permanently closed as of 2022. New here? Read this! Hey there!…
