Share-A-Bear this Christmas and make someone a #HappyKid
Christmas is fast approaching, and one thing everyone’s soooo excited about is our culture of gift giving (yeah I’m excited about the many foods we all are preparing for, but let’s stick first to gift giving, shall we?) Hmmkay, just to remind, gift yourselves a gift, too! 2018 was a tough year, so maybe give yourself some time off and relax.
Anyway, speaking of gift giving, before I gave birth to Mnemosyne, I pledged myself to share my blessings to other people. When I got pregnant I realized I’ve been blessed more than what I needed. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not Richie Rich who can always have anything he wants in just a snap. But I have my own little ways to help.
When I get chances and time to join a volunteering activity, I would. When I have spare money to treat some friends (and hopefully get some courage to approach people I am not related with but needs help), I would. When I get inspirations to share, I would. when I can say yes, I would.
Last weekend, I and my family spent some time at one of the SM Malls near our residential area. We had dinner, we watched a movie, we bought some stuff the groceries. We love having our snacks in the foodcourt where we can buy different dishes (gotta write something from my go-to foodcourts, I think?).
My sister saw these cute bears sold by pairs. I thought ito nanaman tayo sa bili bili, because my sis loves buying stuff in bundles. I guess she thought these kinda promos are a win-win. But newsflash! They aren’t always on our side. They put promos like these to make us believe they’re cheaper and buy more. I mean, I’d buy food in bundles but not toys (okay maybe I will bec Mnemo. Lol.). I initialy disapproved. Wag na, mahal 200! But she insisted and bought it.
I learned this is part of the project “Share-A-Bear” partnered with SM Supermalls, SM Cares, and Toy Kingdom. Buy two bears for P200 – one for you and one for a kid in need. And I have to mention the bears are cuter than how I appreciated them before. So I said okay, start ’em young!
Available at select SM Supermalls Toy Fair booths and Toy Kingdom stores nationwide. And they’re until December 25, 2018 only!
