Revisiting Manila: life in time at National Museum of Natural History

I am looooooving visiting museums nowadays. I also think including local museums to my side trips out of town would be fun. (Please do suggest if you have some place in mind!) It’s just nice to witness more than what we have or can see today, but also learn things from our past. Thanks to all humanity for preserving these precious artifacts and stories for future generations to see. <3 What made me realize to revisit Philippine art and culture?Just recently, National Museum of Natural History reopened its doors to public boasting it’s new, innovative displays and exhibitions that are now more interactive than before.  New here? Read this! Hey…

Family Valentine Dinner at Neil’s Kitchen, Glorietta

I’ve read sooo many good reviews about this restaurant in Alabang. Good food, good ambiance, perfect for all kinds of dinner dates with our loved ones. However, it’s too far from our place (probably will cost me 700php+ per Grab trip) so I wasn’t able to visit the restaurant with my family. So I was super excited when I learned they’re opening a branch in Glorietta, Makati, where I and my family usually go when we’re bored at home. I mean yey andito na yung sinasabi nilang masarap! Plus my sister really loved the food there and in fact suggested it for our next family food trip. Sitting just beside…

Menya Kokoro: your soup-less ramen is now in the PH!

Was it just me or we just had the longest summer so far in Pinas? I know I heard it somewhere, but anyways… rain’s finally here! And because we are natural foodies, we are always ‘game’ to try out something new to indulge during the rainy season. Of course, there’s always the best goto, lugaw, arrozcaldo, and other Pinoy food perfect for the “Netflix and chill” weather. Well aside from those yummies, we also love ramens which are almost everywhere. You know what’s new? MAZESOBA! Mazesoba is literally translated as mixed noodle – soupless ramen (or dry ramen) made with soba or Japanese noodles. The soba is thicker than your…

Marugame Udon: my new go-to Japanese Resto

I know I’ve said this a million times, but again, being a working mom is really exhausting. On weekdays, I go to work at 6am to avoid the heavy traffic, and I log out at around 5pm plus another 1 hour and a half for walking from the office to the FX terminal and waiting for my turn to have a seat, plus another 2 hours travel time. So that’s around 14 hours before I arrive home. Of all the kapoy and hassle and take-home stress, I really need to sometimes take a break. Every time I pass through the Glorietta foodcourt, I notice this Japanese restaurant full of people. One…

Looking for something to spoil yourself with? Glazed by Mariella definitely won’t make you feel guilty

With all I have been going though as a new mom, I take all the help I can get from family and friends just to forget everything that stresses me. Plus, as a working mom, I sometimes need to de-stress and spoil myself a little bit. So thanks to my friend Joy for providing me unlimited books (I need you forever, my friend), thanks Netflix for your new originals and new purchased films and series, thanks Mnemosyne for smiling at me everytime I kiss you, thanks besh Jian for the coffee, and thanks Mariella for the sweetest and yummiest treats everrr! I knew Mariella through my friend and manager, when…
