Find your new Pinoy food favorites in Savor Park Cafe in Makati
The usual Filipino food is usually a variety of influences from different countries such as Spanish, Chinese, Malay, Indian, American and many more. Coming from these inspirations we came up to signature dishes like adobo (usually chicken or pork marinated in a soy-vinegar base) and lechon (roasted pig). Filipino cuisine goes beyond meat, though. People appreciate seafood dishes as well as vegetables and even fruit. Since the country is very wealthy of spices, we can cook almost everything from delicious bowls of soup and plates of crispy-fried produce. Since Filipino favorites are usually served all over each and every area in Manila, some of us are honestly getting tired of…

Sunnies Café: offering great food for both your tummy and IG cravings
Sunnies Café has been all over our Instagram feeds since it opened. Honestly, it made me searched and saved some hashtags following IG photos posted by different accounts. Who won’t? Sunnies Café offers a simple yet girly aesthetics that is too good for any IG photo curators. Well, obviously, Sunnies Café is one of the IT girls’ (Georgina Wilson, Martine Cajucom, Jess Willson, and Bea Soriano) chain of the “Sunnies” brand. These group of everyone’s girl crushes are not just fond of eyewears and make-up lines, not just your typical fashionistas and supermodels, but they’re also “foodies”. I personally wanted to try Sunnies Café ever since they launched it, but…

Late night cravings at Goto Monster
Rainy days are here! And there’s one true bff for these kind of weather: a wonderful bowl of good goto. Goto is the Filipino term for congee. Normally cooked with freshly-sliced ginger, other ingredients can also be added to give it more flavor and usually topped with a hard boiled egg and some fried garlic flakes to add more texture, and they are usually sold carinderias . One of my comfort foods is goto, but I rarely buy one outside as my mom loves cooking goto, lugaw, and the likes. Goto Monster is not my first-bought bowl of goto either, but this is so far the most unforgettable goto in…

Holy Cheesus! A taste of heaven on Earth at Boulangerie22
Unlike other pastry shops and cafe that made it to everyone’s favorites just because of their “Instagrammable” places or trendy food and promos or even high-end drinks, Boulangerie 22 can actually boast more on not just the quality but affordability of their products. I like working off-site whenever my office schedule is not so tight. And every time I need to focus on my tasks and I need to avoid unnecessary talks, I go to the nearest cafe and work there with my headphones and music on. And when it comes to choosing a place, I usually consider four most important work things: Wi-FI connection, electric sockets, great coffee, and yummy pastries and/or…

El Cocinero by Chef Arnaldo: A taste of authentic Ibizan cuisine in Manila
Imagine a wonderful day in Spain, and you’re staying in a beautiful home in Ibiza, and you probably have these lists of where-to-go’s, what-to-try’s, and what-to-eat. If you are a traveling foodie, you try different cuisine from around the world and experience their food culture first-hand. Well, let’s admit it, our every day budget cannot afford different places, especially Spain. But that’s what Chef Arnaldo is here for. El Cocinero is not new with our taste anymore. Their first branch in Nasugbu, Batangas is widely known, and if I’m not mistaken, their most-visited branch is the one in Tagaytay. Well, no need for a long drive. El Cocinero just opened another branch in Molito,…
