They say quitting is the easiest way. NOPE.
Hellloooooooo. It’s been what, maybe a year? LOL since I visited this blog and hey, I’m finally back because why else do we post long, personal drama on the internet? I’m here because this is ironically the most comfortable space I can vent out to. I’d want to go out, hike some mountains and stand at the peak and shout I’M TIIIIIIRED then spend the rest of the day appreciating the view and fresh air and maybe a warm cup of coffee. And then my brain reminds me that I’m not any more physically able (at least for now, because duh, I’m gonna work out somewhen) and that I should…

Book Haul: 13 new books on my shelf that I won’t read anyways (or at least not yet)
I bought books and I'm not reading them. Not yet. I mean who does? We buy books to throw them somewhere at home. You're fortunate if you have a beautiful shelf, but in my case, I have this empty drawer and so I made them full. Or at least almost. I'm not reading these books because I have a long list of TBR before the year ends and to be honest I don't know if I can finish actually them in two months. So maybe expect more reading vlogs featuring 2021 book trends on the first quarter of 2022. But that's okay. Books are forever.

My rules in reading (you have my permission to steal this list)
I’m not sure if I’ve already said it or if you already heard from my vlog (yes I have a YT channel you may want to subscribe to! haha) but I just got back from my ~decade~ of reading slump. I got there (the slump) because of all possible things such as budget (yeah), time (oh yes), inspiration (maybe?) and many more I could tell just to justify my non-reading years. It was looong enough that I honestly forgot how much I love reading and sitting comfy and cozy and just enjoy coffee and books. Until I started reading again. And what got me out of that awful slump? COVID…

I tested positive, btw
I tested positive for COVID19 and I needed to go on isolation for 14 days. And yes, I am fully vaccinated a month before. But don’t worry, I’m good now and fully recovered. 🙂 We now all know that vaccines are not cure and cannot shield you 100%. But I am very thankful I got both jabs before I got the live virus. I was a bit late, actually, because I asked for reschedule more than thrice. If you’re a Filipino or a citizen in Pinas, you know how loooong it took before the majority started to get vaccinated because of the priorities and categories and how “well” the vaccination was planned…

Stroke Therapy: Our St. Luke’s Experience
My mom had a stroke few weeks ago as of writing (I drafted this Aug 7) and was admitted to St. Luke’s Medical Center in BGC for a week. One July Wednesday, my mom was complaining about her right arm feeling numb and kind of painful. Ironic, right? So we thought it was just those “pagod” we feel at the end of a very busy being-a-mom-and-lola days and we advised her to take paracetamol. She knew she needed to rest so she did. The next day she, along with with my brother, went to visit the local community doctor and was diagnosed with some kind of nerve dysfunction or “naipit…
