Luljetta’s Hanging Garden & Spa: a quick escape from the city life

Why do I always, always feel exhausted? Especially now that it’s almost 2020, I’m starting to feel super tired of 2019. (2020 me: “LOL wait ’til 2020 ends”) I mean, can you finally end already? I took a moment and reflect on why I feel this way and how to help myself feel better again. Then a friend asked me if I could join them in a quick tour and spa experience at Luljetta’s Hanging Garden and Spa, and even I wasn’t feeling very well that day and that I just came from on out-of-town “raket“, but I said yes. Who says no to a getaway?

Please do not travel unless it's already 100% safe! All travel articles and restaurant reviews in this blog are here to inspire you on your future plans, but please DO NOT LEAVE HOME UNTIL IT'S TOTALLY SAFE! We all are excited to go out and have fun, but let's keep "safety" our number one priority. Stay healthy!

Hey there! My name’s May and you can view more about me here.  I travel a lot for both work and leisure. Thanks to being an auditor and a content creator and, of course, to my love for travel, I barely feel I’m actually at work when traveling. And if  I’m actually off work, I usually am with friends or family, discovering places and trying out new food. I’m juggling three jobs – the two mentioned + being a single mom. You think it’s easy? Of course not! But what glues me together is my passion and love for these three. More about my story here.

I love sharing what I know and how I do things, so if you haven’t read these yet, visit the following pages to view:

This was my first time at Luljetta’s, and I knew I’d go back there again to at least give myself time to take a break and enjoy nature. Of course, I’d still love to go hiking and camp (which I really miss!), but you know, we all are lazy sometimes.

Luljetta’s is a very relaxing place, where you can reflect or even just sleep in a nice comfy bed. Or you can hang out with your best friends, catch up and spill stories while chilling in the heated jacuzzi. It’s a great place to bond with your family as well! Except there are many stairs to conquer so watch out and always keep your kids and grannies safe!

About Luljetta's Hanging Gardens and Spa

Luljetta, or Luljetta’s Hanging Garden and Spa or Luletta’s Place is actually named Luljetta’s Place – Hanging Gardens Spa and Garden Suites. Why Luljetta, that I don’t know…yet. I know Google is anywhere but I still hope I could talk directly to someone who knows Luljetta best. This spa place is located along Antipolo ridges, which offer the spectacular views of Laguna de Bay, Antipolo and Metro Manila. Oh, I missed the mountains of Rizal!

Luljetta’s became public in 2016, as part of the eight-hectare Loreland Farm Resort. I’m not sure if they’re still the newest, but I’m sure they’re one of the most beautiful places to visit whenever you’re in Antipolo. Luljetta’s Place, Hanging Gardens Spa and Garden Suites is one of those resorts developed to cater a broader range of market banking on the health and wellness – which is what we all need from time to time, right?

I guess it’s safe to say Luljetta’s Place Hanging Gardens Spa is the first and only hanging gardens and spa in the Philippines as of date of writing. It offers this amazing viewpoint of Laguna De Bay and Metro Manila Skyline.

All packages and entrance fees include access to Hanging Gardens facilities such as the sauna rooms, heated jacuzzis, hydro-massage pool, infinity pools, and meditation lounges. Traditional bathrobes and towels are also part of the fee, plus they’ll give you free suman and tea for snacks. Around the vicinity also stand stations of cold/warm drinking water and hot tea (we looooooove their tea!)

Pre-travel Guide

How to get there?

Antipolo, and even the totality of Rizal, has been one of the most go-to places for a quick getaway since weekend travels became a trend (or even before that, lol). Not only because Rizal offers numbers of wonderful and interesting destinations, it also has an easy access from Manila for just an hour drive.

From Shaw EDSA MRT station, walk to the UV Express terminal across Shang-ri La Plaza then look for an jeepney or, preferably, van heading to Antipolo. Jeepneys are usually bound to Antipolo-Simbahan or Antipolo-Shopwise, Tanay (Tanay-Antipolo). FX, on the other hand just says Antipolo. Fare is Php30 for jeeps and Php50* for vans. Get off at Antipolo Church and ride a tricycle and drop off at Loreland Farm Resort.

It’s honestly easy to commute, but if you have the convenience of a having a private transpo, here are links from Waze and Google Maps to guide you to Luljetta’s Place.

2020 note: Travel suggestions and rates mentioned throughout this article, if any, are as of November 2018. Check out the establishment’s social media pages or websites to get the updated guidance and health protocols.

When is the best time to visit Luljetta’s Place, Hanging Gardens Spa and Garden Suites?

They actually have rooms available if you’re looking for room accommodation. Best to avail this if you have or need more time to relax. But if you’re taking day tour packages, I’d suggest you book a visit in the weekdays to avoid the crowd and maybe have the heated jacuzzi by yourself.

My Luljetta Experience

Well, it was just me and two of my bestest friends from grade school through high school and even up to now that we’re all already working! It’s just nice to think you still have time to hang out with your childhood besties and remember the old times where you still had to sneak off to different places and now we just want to find a relaxing, quiet place to unwind and catch up.LULJETTA | THEMHAYONNAISE

Every spot in the resort is a place where you can stop and unwind and take pictures! Yep, the whole place is very worthy of the ‘gram and the blog and even your sticky photo album. What we actually did is roam around the garden first, check each and every cute spots for pictures, try out each and every pool and jacuzzi, and drink from each and every water station we’ve passed through.

My favorite spot is this heated jacuzzi where you can chill after a hot session in the sauna (sorry, it was my first time, lol) or just soak there and hang out with the besties. The water pressure’s just enough for me to feel relaxed, I didn’t even need a massage. (JK, of course, I’ll get one next time.)

Since Luljetta’s Place is nature-inspired (actually IN the nature), expect the freshest air to breathe after weeks or months or even years of staying in Manila. I’d love to stay there longer, honestly. Though very mild, you can still smell chlorine from the pool areas, but you get why it’s needed, right?

We intentionally visited Luljetta on a weekday because we knew guests are infrequent. From my previous experience in different resorts, the staff don’t usually clean up the areas that were used by very few. At Luljetta, as observed, they maintain the cleanliness of the place and people actually take very good care of their guests.

Wrap-up

Aside from feeling and being clumsy, our quick day trip to Luljetta’s really did lighten up my mood and made me feel relaxed especially now that I already feel the pressure for the upcoming year (OMG, it’s 2020!)

With my first time experience, I think my one thousand peso bill it actually worth it, and I’d do it again(And again) whenever possible. Thanks to the greatest minds who thought of giving us the opportunity to take a pause and unwind.

Luljetta’s Place is located at Sitio Loreland, Barangay San Roque Antipolo, Rizal. You can contact their front office at (+632) 534 2517, ‎(+632) 633 3494, or (0925) 766 7544. Or email them at info@luljettas.com. Follow them on Facebook (Luljetta’s Hanging Gardens Spa) for promos and updates!
