Feel more productive with these FREE online courses while staying at home!
In the past weeks, I busied myself with free online courses in between of mom-jobs and my corporate job. Luckily, I’m with a company that values and supports learning and development even outside the four corners of the office. So I took the opportunity to explore not only audit and risk management courses but also programs beyond my profession. Before the past year ended, I planned my 2020 with numbers of domestic and international trips. I was super excited (who won’t, right?) because it was supposed to be my first time traveling outside the Philippines after my 2019 mantra: Pilipinas muna. Well, life happens, and one day I found myself looking for…

#LockdownDiaries: MECQ check-in
I’ve always mentioned in my past blog posts that I am an open book and I write everything I feel through these “more personal” stories and articles. Well, our current situation a.k.a “ECQ life” made me realize I cannot share “everything I feel” that much, not even to my imaginary friend and personal journal/diary, Gray. Ta-ha! I am very super mega fortunate that my boss and my company granted me my requested two-day leave, extending my break from work from a today (Thursday) until a Monday holiday. I was actually supposed to discuss a just-completed project to the management but thank you for excusing me from the meeting because I…

Unwritten rules when visiting museums and exhibits
As you know, I try to travel and go out of town as much as possible. I started discovering places unfamiliar to myself since my parents allowed me to go out with friends – I think I was already in college. Lol I can’t even remember where was my first out of town trip with friends. My only regret is I didn’t take so much time to explore stuff beyond those beautiful landscapes – people, culture, and arts. Ever since I was a child, I am already a lover of all kinds of art. I don’t know why I didn’t think of looking further and learning more about art while…

How I take care of my sun-burnt skin
Contents last updated on June 2020. HAPPY END-OF-SUMMER! Yeah, I’m kidding. Is it just me who thinks there was just a whole year of summer in Manila? I am aware of all the floods and hurricanes and even hail storm from around the country, but Manila, really? Guess we have to take a pause and think of one little way to at least lessen the “heat”, and how to treat our sunburns, huh? Going out for a summer trip is one thing. Taking care of your sun-burnt skin is another. These days, I don’t really care that much about how I look. I don’t focus on getting back to the fairness…

May Day: My “when it rains, it pours” moment + some things worth sharing
Just recently, I had the most depressing moments yet in my life. I knew things like these are coming, but it really feels different when bad stuff are already in front of your face, laughing. There was no single day that I didn’t cry because I felt that was the only thing I could do. This time, I didn’t cry on anyone’s shoulders, I didn’t rant on Facebook, I didn’t tell the story and more info on my blog. I knew people would say “eto nanaman may drama nanaman sa buhay ang loka”. I knew people are already tired of all my sad stories so I really tried to keep it…
