#LockdownDiaries: food orders and recipes wrap-up | 2
My previous wrap-up post got so many views so it’s just safe to assume my readers are interested on where I get the food I post on social media. So yey! Here’s my second wrap up of our food during quarantine. But before we move on (yep, had to say this again), please note that this article and other related posts linked on this page were not paid in any way nor sponsored by the brands I am mentioning.
And, guys, if you’re able, please do support your friends and neighbors and other small businesses by buying their products, or just sharing their links to others who might be interested.
Â
And P.S. Also here to make it clear that while I support these businesses, I also am true to the quality of my reviews so expect very candid opinions from this blog. Happy reading, happy eating!
Local Orders
Ihaw-ihaw from Jazjie
Who doesn’t love ihaw ihaw? Their stall was one of or favorites since highschool because they make one of the tastiest ihaws and yummiest vinegar dip!
I’m not exactly sure who owns the business, but I contact JAZJIE for reservations when I’m craving. They deliver within our area for free!
Beef tapa from Jov
My friend here is selling ready-to-cook beef tapa for your yummy tapsilog breakfast! Sinangang at itlog nalang ang kulang, best breakfast ever na!
One order is good for 2-3 persons. They deliver within Pasay and Paranaque area.
Chocolate Dreamcake Le Sucre Lab
LSL is one of my favorite cake shops eveeerrr! I can buy one can of chocolate dreamcake and eat it by myself. But of course, I share it to the fam. I mean I had to, right? Lol
My last purchase was during the ECQ and good thing they offer deliveries! If you’re wondering how to order and book online, here’s a detailed post.
Takoyaki from A&J Food House
I heard this food house from a friend who said he’s also friends with one of the owners and that he really cooks well. And so far, this takoyaki has made it to my top fave takoyakis ever.Â
You can place your orders on their FB page, A & J Food House. They deliver within Pasay through Grab, Angkas, or Lalamove.Â
Gyoza fron Risha
Remember Risha from my previous post? She sells other products, too, and people around here trusts her. <3Â
She offered me this home-made gyoza and it didn’t disappoint. It sells 12 pcs per tub, for a cheap price.
P.S. I just discovered gyozas are yummier with little drops of Knorr liquid seasoning. IDK. That’s for me!
Home Recipes
Yummiest french fries ever
I don’t know how to call it but for me, it’s my yummiest french fry recipe so far. Remember that yummy french fries side from Terraz? THIS.
This one’s freshly cut potatoes (I cut them myself!), steamed for 5 minutes, deep fried, and flavored with sour cream powder from my previous post.
The dip is my version of mild aioli. A mix of regular mayo, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper. It’s a lot better refrigerated.
Cheesy Dynamite
This is one of my favorite Pinoy afternoon snacks and thanks to my mom for cooking these for me everytime!Â
It’s basically a green pepper filled with cooked ground meat plus cheese strips wrapped in spring roll wrappers. That simple! I loooove partnering it with Japanese mayo. Heaven.
Grilled dishes for boodle fights!
Okay, this is not a recipe, but I suggest you enjoy boodle fights with your families at home! It’s super fun, and as Pinoys, meals are indeed more tasty and delicious when you share them with your loved ones.
If you’re selling some yummy food, find your prettiest customer HERE (hehehehe) and let me help a little to expand your growing numbers of customers.
And before I forget to mention: I am well aware that while we have the convenience of choosing and buying foods we like, some of families are struggling to have at least one meal a day. I case you need help or if you know someone who needs it more, please feel free to contact me anytime through connect@themhayonnaise.com. I will find ways to extend a hand within Metro Manila, and if you’re out my reach, I’ll help you with some connections. We’ll get through this! May our God bless us all. Spread love!
