Malingap Central Food Hall: for the love of good food and good pictures!

If there’s something common among all Pinoys is that we all love food trips. That’s maybe one reason why food halls and food parks had a sudden boom in the industry. Talk a walk, for example, in Manila and you will spot more than three food hubs in the area. Maybe more than five!

I’ve been to many food parks and hubs in the metro. And those experiences helped me set standards to which ones are worth visiting and spending time at with friends and family and even alone – since I am slowly crawling my way back to being an introvert. Lol.

People are becoming adventurous when it comes to food – trying out unfamiliar street food, weird-looking soups, and other menu. And as the demand for local and international food increases, food halls are one way business owners can deliver more yummies to us consumers.

I don’t know what happened to my album, but I lost other wall art photos from my first Malingap Central visit. But I assure you, though small, all sides and corners if this place is more photogenic than I am.

I don’t usually try food hubs but there are three main reasons why I loved Malingap Central. 1) Their place is exceptionally Instagrammable. By exceptionally, I mean, every side, every corner, every turn, there’s a spot meant to take take pictures of. The place is colorful, but not too bright. Perfect for VSCO filters or even without any filters at all!

2) The whole hub is air-conditioned. Most food parks often relies with open air (or nothing at all) to make their diners comfortable while enjoying their food. One of my pet peeves is myself feeling heavy because of dirt and sweat specially when I go for a photo walk.

3) What I loved most is their carefully curated food choices. I hate to compare (again) but I don’t usually get other food halls’ strategy on choosing their partners. It’s like almost all of the stalls are competitors of another. Malingap Central Food Hall, on the other hand, knows exactly how to lure people of different tastes, and convince them to try other dishes as well.

Well, that’s all I can share for now. I really am looking forward to visit Maginhawa the soonest! #TigaSouth #BatangSouth But really, either North or South, thank you to those people who are passionate enough to serve us good food and offers good places for us to hang out at!
