Rediscover Chinese Cuisine with Paradise Dynasty’s newest flavors!

I realized I am a “foodie” when I got to try different Chinese food around Binondo. I really wasn’t a fan of Chinese cuisine or any foreign ones at first, simply because I was not a food adventurer and I just used to stick to my Pinoy comfort food. So technically, my gates to “foodie kingdom” (if there’s such a term) were Chinese or Tsinoy eats.

So I am really thankful when I got invited to try these new dishes from an authentic Chinese dining at Paradise Dynasty. The place really gave the vibes of  Northern and Southern Chinese Cuisine. Not just because of their wonderful luxury restaurant ambience, but I also give two thumbs-up for their great sets of menu and now their four newest dishes.

Deep-Fried Duck with Steamed Bun (Php1288) –  a marinated duck deep-fried and shredded served with white bao bun with hoisin sauce, scallions, cucumber & basil.  I honestly had to skip this one as I am allergic to ducks, but I tried the sauce and it was great. I guess it is best though to try everything sandwiched to a hot white bao bun.

Grouper with Pine Nuts and Fruits (Php1288) – a whole crispy grouper fish (also known as Lapu-lapu) flavored with sweet and sour sauce and fruits topped with grilled pine nuts. The sweet taste dominates the dish, which I loved. I could honestly finish it on my own!

Grilled Grouper with Tofu in Mapo Tofu Style (Php1288) – another grouper fish except this one’s grilled. Topped with Mapo tofu and special sauce, this dish I think has more light taste than the other one. It’s actually nicer when you eat it while it’s still a bit hot.

Shanghai Style Braised Pork Belly (Php588) – for this set, this one is my favorite! Apparently, this dish is quite common and famous in China. Pork belly, despite being a “sinful” food, is one thing you can’t say no to. Glazed with special sauce, and a little bite of veggie, this dish is heaven!

I also got to try their Special Dynasty Xiao Long Bao, a  basket of long baos with 8 different flavors. Make the most of your long bao experience by starting with the original flavor, ginseng, foie gras, black truffle, cheesy, crab roe, garlic, and last but definitely not the least, the spicy Szechuan.

Then there’s Charcoal Custard Lava Bun a wonderfully-cooked sweet black bun balanced with salted egg custard. Loved this, too!
