FINALLY POSTING THIS! Binondo Food Crawl

I’m honestly having a super hard time creating contents these days, not only because of very little time but also because I literally cannot risk going out too much because yes, I’d rather pause blogging or change my niche for awhile than collecting viruses from everywhere and bringing them home. I still try to go somewhere but I’m very much careful than usual (talked about it on my previous blog)so I looked back to my old photos and realized that “ton” of backlogs is still *pretty much* at the same “ton”. One of them is that time I joined What To Eat Ph team on one of their Binondo Food Crawls. I also have another trip with my friend Anthony decades ago, but I lost some of our photos so let’s just start this Binondo series here~

I’ll try to keep each part short, maybe with 3-5 restaurants per post because girl, it’s sooooo hard to get blog content these days *that are not delivered and paid* and I’m trying to get my kwento skills longer because I’m thinking of starting a ~legit~ vlog so yeah.

Hey there! My name’s May and you can view more about me here.  I travel a lot for both work and leisure. Thanks to being an auditor and a content creator and, of course, to my love for travel, I barely feel I’m actually at work when traveling. And if  I’m actually off work, I usually am with friends or family, discovering places and trying out new food. I’m juggling three jobs – the two mentioned + being a single mom. You think it’s easy? Of course not! But what glues me together is my passion and love for these three. More about my story here.

I love sharing what I know and how I do things, so if you haven’t read these yet, visit the following pages to view:

Wan Chai Restaurant

You’re probably already familiar with this restaurant as they’ve been featured maaaannyyy times in blogs and vlogs since forever. But the hype’s real, guys. Their food is ~legit~ fun and yummy especially their Chicken Hotpot and Shrimp in Orange Sauce (literally shrimps in orange sauce, you guys). What’s odd about our visit is our first choices were not available so we just asked three good dishes they can recommend which were available that day. Yep, food’s good but service took really long.

Wan Chai is currently temporarily closed (based in Zomato) since ECQ but I’ll try to visit them again soon so just follow my IG or Facebook page to get updated!

King Chef Seafood Restaurant

The usual Binondo food crawl would explore more of the street food and restaurants you can easily find along the main streets around the area. But if you get tired of walking through the heat of the sun, this is a good reminder that Binondo offers more options inside malls especially here at the Lucky Chinatown Mall.

One of the restaurants (and food!!!) I’ve tried inside the mall that I really enjoyed is King Chef Seafood Restaurant, not only because of its food but you can really feel the ambiance you need for a good Chinese food experience. Or if you just want to get comfy at home, King Chef now delivers! Check their FB page or visit their website, https://kingchefph.com/.

We had their “hakaw” which was really good. We shared a serving of these but I wanted one for my own ~secretly~. I am a lover of dimsums and this one’s worth the visit. We also had Braised Beef Brisket, a bowl of tasty and flavorful dish. As I can remember, this made me want to eat more rice because it’s just sooo good. We had Chicken in Salted egg as well which I don’t remember the taste now tbh but a good reason to come back for. I will be going to Binondo again soon and I’m looking forward to dine here again and try more items in the menu!

King Chef is located at the Second Floor, Lucky Chinatown Mall, Binondo, Manila. They ready to serve good food Monday – Sunday at 10am to 6pm. Get more updates on their Facebook page, King Chef Seafood Restaurant.

Polland Hopia

And to end this article, lemme share to you Polland Hopia. Our last stop for a super nice pasalubong for the fam (or friends) to let them feel a little bit of our Binondo experience. They’re known for one of the best hopia in town and aside from these yummy treats, they also offer Chinese delicacies we love such as tikoy, mooncake, dumplings, and many more.

Polland Hopia is located at 209 Escolta Corner Nueva Street, Binondo Manila. They’re open between 8am to 5pm everyday except Sunday. Stay updated when you follow them on Facebook and IG.
