Life lately | Frustrations, blahblahs, and taking a break
I feel like I don’t have hope anymore. Or courage. Or at least I don’t have the old “May” anymore. I’m not May anymore. I used to spend ALL my time being productive in everything I love – work, art, travel, books, puzzles -, I was not a fan of binging movies and tv series or not doing anything. But as I write this blog/journal I realized I just spent my whole Friday watching Netflix (and of course spending little time with Mnemo) instead of working on my audit or lecture or course or even my vlog or zine. I was on leave today, and I thought taking a good…

My first zine and finally a Youtube channel
I missed writing! I’m currently in a break from work this week (we’re on collective leave for the Holy Week) so I have more time to spend with Mnemo, make some art, and plan my near-term goals and creative calendar (hopefully!). Well, actually, I needed time to catch up with work and my online courses as well, but I decided I don’t want to stress myself this break week so yeah. I just published my first zine on Issuu (yeeeaaah!) and will be sending it out for printing sooon because I feel like I need to add more pages to it first before the actual printing. It’s already Saturday as…

Life Lately: my truth about postpartum depression, two years after giving birth
It’s been two years (already???!!!) since I gave birth to Mnemo and I think I’m still in my postpartum depression stage I mean do moms really get through that? In that two years, I’m not entirely sure how many times I felt depressed and anxious because if you’re a mom, you’re basically not allowed (or you don’t allow yourself) to feel nor think that way so I had to shift my mind and heart to something more fun and interesting so yeah. I haven’t (or have I?) posted anything about my life in a while but thanks to “current life events” I was triggered to draft this post and maybe relaunch…

Getting ready for 2021: I finally got my Starbucks Organizer!
I finally got my Starbucks organizer and I’m proud I earned it! I’ve been using Starbucks planners for N years now and it’s actually super useful and convenient for monitoring my daily tasks and plans. I know there are a loooot of brands offering planners and notebooks at a cheaper price, so why do we bother collecting stickers from luxury coffee? I looove coffee and different mixes of it that my tolerance to caffeine is almost high and it doesn’t affect my sleeping patterns anymore. Yeah, hindi ko sya pampagising. However, drinking coffee also makes my brain work better for 2-3 hours – more focused, attentive, fast-thinking. So it’s like…

Wind down Sunday, power up Monday!
I know it’s just too hard to unplug from work (or school) even on your day off. I’ve been there. Since college, I felt super tired even on weekends knowingly because I have so much else to do and complete by Monday. Believe it or not, it’s taken me yeeeears to learn how to wind down and take a restful weekend, or a Sunday, at least. Ironically, hustlin’ and procrastinating are both part of our nature. It’s on us how we control and balance the two. I’m not sure about you, but (based on recent experiences) I feel more tired when I procrastinate. I feel super heavy and lazy and…
