5 dishes to try at Mitsuyado Ramen Shokudo
Going out for a dinner with friends is never boring. But is it just us, having to talk about a barkada outing over a meal? While strolling through Japan Town in Glorietta, Makati, we stumbled upon an unfamiliar ramen restaurant and we all knew we gotta try it. While we plan for a relaxed itinerary for a summer getaway, here are the dishes that made us even more excited to go out and explore more cuisines. Mitsuyado Ramen is a Japanese restaurant located in Makati, Philippines that specializes in serving delicious bowls of ramen and other Japanese dishes. The restaurant has a cozy, nice, and inviting atmosphere, with traditional Japanese…

cafe hopping: 6 cafes within metro manila for when you need to work remotely
This has been one of the many projects I really wanted to start before the pandemic, but unfortunately, cafe hopping doesn’t really make sense when you’re all in a lockdown so… The community quarantine has been a big challenge to businesses and most of them permanently closed eventually because profit went down and they couldn’t support the business anymore. While some took the risk on going straight online, content creators grew their business on the other hand, and thankfully most online businesses grew as well. Except me, of course. I can give more reasons why I went MIA, but I had a nice time reflecting and I learned there’s just…

Snack Attack: Cassalu
Remember the Cassalu Coffee & Kitchen? They have an express stall, in case you missed. We wanted to try their famous cheesecakes and coffee but we opted for some lunch meals because we were soooo tired from window shopping. Lol. We often do our groceries in Makati and Glorietta’s Food Choices (foodcourt) is one of our go-tos when we feel hungry. We actually plan to try all stalls as they have newly revamped the area pre-pandemic. I got a Beef and Kimchi Rice, and it was served with egg and red iced tea. Perf for tipid meals as we need to tighten our pockets these days. Hehe. It’s a safe choice,…

%Arabica, McKinley
The day before our visit was super rainy so I was expecting at least a little rain that day but… Hello, Mr. Sun. I was looking forward to a cup of hot coffee so I suggested the very good Arabica coffee for my and J’s morning date (lol we were just doing some docs). He got his usual hot coffee, but I was suddenly not in the mood to I got myself an iced mocha. Iced mocha??? Wth, watyu doin’, May??? I’ve had the Arabica coffee before, in a bottle and to-go cups. And since their opening in Manila in 2018, it’s just now that I got to actually dine…

El Jardin de Manila, BGC
It was a rainy afternoon and J and I wanted some place to work on some important documents so I said “as labas tayo so we can focus” and where else would you go if you are to work on your laptop, need good coffee, and maybe food? We were walking along Bonifacio Global City in Taguig (I honestly wanted to try and hang out on the park somewhere there but it was raining, smh) and we passed through this cute, not crowded, “Instagrammable”, interesting cafe that I never have tried yet. And yes, they have wifi. This brach has permanently closed as of 2022. New here? Read this! Hey there!…
