Paradizoo: a fun and informative weekend trip
As a kid, my favorite tourist attraction to visit (except from food factories, lol) are animal theme parks or zoos. And honestly, since we’re going to more advanced tech age already, I’m a little bit sad about the thought of our kids now losing interest with nature. I mean, do they even know how to feed farm animals, or plant trees will they have the chance to at least witness how beautiful these living things are in real life or will they just stare at their iPads and maybe make silly imitations of animal sound, I don’t know. Hike and chill: here’s my list of 5 favorite spots for a quick hike near Manila + some tips for your first time
Just before I published this, I had a small talk with my colleague about his day hike that coming weekend. It was his first time mountain climbing and honestly, I find it quite funny hearing stories like those. Not because I think I am a big time hiker, but I laugh at myself because I felt the same exact excitement back when I was tagged to join a day hike. I mean, it’s kinda cute. I never told anyone which my mother mountain was, but I am very vocal that I did only minor hikes and never at least once a major. It’s just nice seeing my past self in…

Unexpected beauty: San Pedro Beach Resort, Romblon
When we hear or see the word “ROMBLON”, the first thing that comes to mind is “MARBLE” (or marmol, in Tagalog). But really, Romblon is more than just the “Marble Capital of the Philippines”. It’s also home to crystal clear beaches, healthy and rich marine life, very gentle and friendly people, and greeaaaat food just liek here in San Pedro Resort! Romblon is one of the provinces of the Philippines with most kept beauty. This gem, are not always on the travel bucket lists even of most Filipinos. If I’m not mistaken, it’s just now that the tourism in Romblon is growing, and sadly, it’s not growing as fast as…

Guinahoan Island: for the love of rolling hills
Here’s a secret (that is obviously not anymore, I mean omg, May, stop revealing too much about yourself): my most favorite part of island hopping are not the beaches, but even a little chance of hiking or trekking. I honestly get bored easily, so even during my “chill” vacays I still look for quick activities like a short trek to small mountains or hills. I stayed in Caramoan for 3 days with the What To Eat Ph team – 2 days island hopping and 1 day restaurant reviews. After Las Casas, this was (if I’m not mistaken) my second out of town trip with WTE family and it was great…

SAVOY: your newest, sweet and trendy hotel in Manila
So you’re looking for a nice staycation venue with your family or probably friends, and you don’t have enough time and energy to go for long drives. Good thing there’s this new hotel that’s just not great for staycations, also a beautiful place to enjoy work. Working during a staycation? Eh. What makes Savoy Hotel Manila different from other hotels is it gives us more “good vibes” and colorful moods even when we are just in the lounge, trying to compose a very critical mail for the boss. I mean, you can always work in any hotel, yes, but Savoy offers a few more interesting facilities that would make you…
